Court
The term 'court' often referred to all of those that were in the retinue of a king (such as servants, councilors, advisors, ministers, and members of the nobility). The king's court could also refer to anyplace where the king had set up residence, even if only for a short period of time.
In terms of law, a court is the meeting place for any judicial assembly.
